While building a home is usually a once-in-a-lifetime experience for most people, many of them are not unfamiliar with the process, and its sometimes unexpected consequences. Blown budgets, exasperating time delays, frayed relationships with contractors and even spouses are a few of the issues that sometimes make building a home a daunting prospect.

We can help with financing, lot selection, architects and designers. Or we can work with the team you may already have in place. We bid the project to multiple suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that we achieve the most competitive pricing on every aspect of your home construction.
Once all of the preliminaries are in place and the architectural plans are complete, Chase Custom Homes builds a complete Bid Book, page by page for every aspect of the job, complete with costs and timelines. This Bid Book is shared right from the start with the client, and we keep in constant contact during the process using the Bid Book as the “Bible” of the project. The Bid Book is a method of transparency for our clients. These are the details, and Chase Custom Homes prides itself on mastering them all with precision. We can’t control the weather, of course, but everything else is planned and executed to the highest standards possible.
But let’s not forget the biggest detail of all: the cost.
Many home builders charge a fee based on what is known in the industry as “cost-plus,” which is basically a percentage of the project. Not Chase Custom Homes. Spencer Chase firmly believes that “cost-plus” offers no incentive for the builder to contain costs; in fact just the opposite. That is why Chase Custom Homes charges a pre-specified fee-for-service, one based on the time involved in the project as detailed in the Bid Book, and holds to that fee no matter what the circumstances. This fee is an incentive to finish the project exactly as planned, on time and on budget – and the fees charged by Chase Custom Homes represent a significant savings compared to any other builder.
