Spencer Chase brings his auspicious career to the creation of Chase Custom Homes, one that ensures that every level of service and every project will be met with the highest standards in the business.
A native of Des Moines, Spencer attended prep school at The Lawrenceville School near Princeton, N.J., and then earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Iowa. He began his career with Zurich Investment in Chicago, he moved on to being a S&P Index Futures and Options trader for the Royal Bank of Canada & Dominion Securities.
While in Chicago, Spencer got an offer from a semi pro rugby team in Sydney, Australia until an injury sidelined him. He turned to diving, becoming a dive master on the Great Barrier Reef. There, he met his future wife Helen, an Englishwoman, and the two returned to London where Spencer joined the Bank of America as a trader of energy derivatives, and followed that up with a two-year stint with Credit Suisse
He returned to the United States to earn his Master’s Degree in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver. Opportunity called. Spencer joined the nation’s premier luxury home builder, Toll Brothers Inc., where he ranked as the Number 10 Project Manager out of 300+ in the country, placing him in the top 3%. As project manager, he was charged with overseeing all aspects of financial profit and loss, sales, contracting, construction, marketing, advertising and management of teams building communities—The Enclave in Broomfield and The Estates at Castle Pines.
Spencer founded Chase Custom Homes because he saw a void in Denver’s home building scene, one he could readily fill with his unique business model in construction services—fee-for-service vs. the traditional cost-plus approach—leaves the homeowner no surprises. An address for a lifetime for discerning clients.
